The Chamber Singers and Vocal Jazz Ensemble concert is Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 7:30 pm in Light Recital Hall in the Greenhill Center of the Arts. The Chamber Singers under the direction of Robert Geherenbeck are thrilled to present two world premiere performances by Whitewater composers, Christian Ellenwood and Adam Taylor. In honor of UWW’s sesquicentennial, UWW Music Professor Christian Ellenwood has composed A Torch Blown Along the Wind for the Chamber Singers. The second premiere is In Flanders Fields, a setting by UWW music major Adam Taylor of the famous World War I poem by John McCrae. Vocal Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Sharri VanAlstine will be performing Fugue in C Minor by J.S. Bach, Smile by Charlie Chaplin and Orange Colored Sky by M. Delugg & W. Stein. There will also be a Silent Auction in support of the choir’s upcoming European tour.
