UNITED WAY OF WALWORTH COUNTY PRESENTS $98,200
United Way of Walworth County today announced that $98,200 was distributed among over 40 local charitable agencies. This is the second round of checks awarded during the United Way’s fiscal year. The presentation took place at the first Partner Agency Coffee Circle meeting held at the United Way office in Elkhorn.
The monthly Coffee Circle brings together the United Way’s supported agencies. According to Executive Director Tammy Dunn, “These agencies share many common denominators and goals. They understand one another’s challenges, successes and defeats. When they come together, understanding the resources each agency brings to the community, the connections and strength in the room is magnetic. Walworth County is better with these agencies individually. But when they unite, they empower change at a whole new level.”
All Walworth County agencies focused on at least one area of the United Way’s three building blocks for a stronger community – Health, Education, Financial Stability – are encouraged to apply for funding. The grant application is available online at unitedwaywalworth.org. http://uw-wc.org/allocation-funding-application/
Deadline is February 15, 2020. Checks are awarded in July and January.
The United Way of Walworth County fights for good health, a quality education and financial stability for every resident.
